About Orlando de Carvalho Airport
Orlando de Carvalho Airport serves Umuarama, a municipality in northwestern Paraná, Brazil. The airfield was first established in the late 1950s with a dirt runway and was later upgraded and expanded, with its most recent terminal renovation and expansion completed in February 2021 to prepare it for regular commercial services.
The airport has a single paved runway and one compact passenger terminal that brings check-in, baggage drop, security screening, a waiting room, cafeteria and other essential services together in one building. It supports general aviation activity and scheduled domestic regional flights, including connections between Umuarama and Curitiba, and improves access to northwestern Paraná.
Situated about 5 km from the centre of Umuarama, the airport is reached by road along the PR-323 highway. Taxis, private transfers, chauffeur services and rental cars provide onward connections to Umuarama and nearby municipalities.
Operated by Infracea Aeroportos since 2022, the airport plays an important role in regional air connectivity for travellers, businesses and residents across the surrounding area.
