Olomouc Airport is a public domestic aerodrome serving the city of Olomouc and the wider Olomouc Region. Opened in 1918, it is one of the longest continuously operating airports in the Czech Republic and remains focused on general aviation rather than scheduled commercial flights.
The airport is located about 3.8 km west of the city centre in the Neředín district and is owned by the Statutory City of Olomouc. Its operations centre on sport flying, aerotaxi, parachuting and the Hanácký aeroklub, with an aviation rescue service based nearby.
Because it is a VFR daylight aerodrome, operations are concentrated on private and club flights. On-site facilities include a buffet and AIR BAR, plus fuel availability, while tram, bus and taxi links make it easy to continue into central Olomouc.
