About Vodochody Airport
Vodochody Airport is a private international civil airport serving Prague and the Central Bohemian Region. It is located about 15 km north-west of central Prague, within the Aero Vodochody Aerospace complex near the village of Odolena Voda, and handles private flights, pilot training and test flights of newly manufactured Aero aircraft.
The airport has a tradition of more than 70 years. The paved landing area dates back to 1942, when it was used by the German army, and after the Second World War it became part of the Aero aircraft factory, which built its new premises nearby in 1953. Today the airport offers a 2,500 m asphalt runway, a 1,800 m grass runway and modern handling facilities.
Vodochody is primarily a general and business aviation airport rather than a large scheduled passenger terminal. Passengers and crews are handled through the airport's handling service, with a passenger lounge, catering, Wi-Fi, restroom facilities, a pilot briefing room and a crew rest area.
The airport is connected to Prague by bus from the nearby Odolena Voda stop and by taxi services arranged through the airport handling team, while road links make it convenient for private transfers and onward travel across the region.
Terminal Overview
Terminals
