Nueva Hesperides International Airport is the main airport serving Salto, the capital of Salto Department in northwestern Uruguay. It acts as the regional gateway to the city and to the surrounding thermal tourism area, including the hot spring resorts of Termas del Daymán and Termas del Arapey.
The airport is located in the Nueva Hespérides area about 7 km southwest of central Salto. Its compact passenger terminal was rebuilt as part of a modernization programme and reopened in 2024, alongside runway resurfacing, new LED lighting, a renovated control tower and upgraded security systems.
Road access connects the airport directly to Salto, and onward travel is available by taxi, private transfer, chauffeur service or rental car. The airport is also close to the Salto Grande bridge, providing a practical link toward Concordia in Argentina.
