About New Richmond Regional Airport
New Richmond Regional Airport is a publicly owned, public-use general aviation airport serving the City of New Richmond, St. Croix County and the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area. It opened in July 1964 and is owned and operated by the City of New Richmond under the oversight of its Airport Commission.
The airport occupies about 424 acres roughly two miles north of central New Richmond. Its primary paved runway, Runway 14/32, is approximately 5,507 feet long and is supported by a turf Runway 04/22 and a full-length parallel taxiway. The field has no control tower and serves private, charter, business and air ambulance traffic rather than scheduled airline service.
Located about 30 miles northeast of Minneapolis–Saint Paul, the airport provides a convenient general aviation gateway to the St. Croix River Valley and western Wisconsin. Ground access is by road, with New Richmond nearby and destinations such as Hudson, Stillwater and the Twin Cities within easy driving distance.
