About Nausori International Airport
Nausori International Airport is the main domestic and secondary international airport serving Suva, the capital of Fiji. It sits about 23 km northeast of the city centre on the banks of the Rewa River, in the town of Nausori, and is sometimes known locally as Luvuluvu. The airport was first constructed by U.S. Navy Seabees in 1942.
The airport plays an important role in domestic travel, linking Suva with Nadi, Labasa, Savusavu and many of Fiji’s outer islands through Fiji Airways and its Fiji Link regional services. Its single terminal building has been upgraded in recent years to improve check-in, security, arrivals and passenger comfort.
Nausori is connected to Suva by Kings Road, with taxis, pre-booked private transfers, rental cars and limited local bus services available for the roughly 30–45 minute journey into the capital.
