Mysore Airport is the domestic airport serving Mysuru and the surrounding region of Karnataka. Known locally as Mandakalli Airport, it was originally established in 1940 before being refurbished and reopened for scheduled commercial operations in 2010 with a modern passenger terminal.
Located about 12 km south of the city centre near Mandakalli on the Mysore–Nanjangud highway, the airport has a single integrated terminal and one runway. Domestic carriers such as IndiGo and Alliance Air connect Mysuru with cities including Chennai and Hyderabad.
Travellers can reach the airport or continue into the city by taxi, app-based cab, auto-rickshaw, or KSRTC city bus, with typical road journeys between the terminal and central Mysuru taking around 20 to 30 minutes.
