Miriti Parana Airport is a small airstrip serving Mirití-Paraná, a remote non-municipalized area in Colombia's Amazonas Department. Located in the north of the department, near the confluence of the Mirití and Caquetá rivers, the airport is one of the only connections to this part of the Colombian Amazon, which remains accessible almost exclusively by river and air.
The airport primarily supports domestic flights linking Mirití-Paraná with larger regional hubs, serving the town's small urban centre and the surrounding indigenous communities along the Mirití river. Because there are no road connections to other towns, air and river transport are essential for passengers, cargo and basic services.
Mirití-Paraná was founded in 1935 and its administrative centre lies close to the airstrip at around 100 metres above sea level. The nearest town, La Pedrera, is about 165 km away in a straight line but roughly 309 km by the winding Caquetá and Mirití rivers.
