Minden-Tahoe Airport is a public general aviation airport in Douglas County, Nevada, serving the Carson Valley communities of Minden, Gardnerville and Genoa and providing convenient access to Lake Tahoe. The airport is located about 4 miles north of Minden and roughly 13 miles south of Carson City.
The airport has served the area since it was activated in 1942 and is owned by Douglas County. It operates two paved runways, the main 7,399-foot Runway 16/34 and the 5,299-foot Runway 12/30, supporting private, business and recreational aircraft along with glider and other general aviation activity.
Because Minden-Tahoe does not handle scheduled airline service, most visitors use private aircraft, charter flights or the airport's FBO services. Hutt Aviation, the main FBO, offers a passenger terminal and lounge, pilot services, fuel, aircraft maintenance, rental car arrangements and flight support.
From the airport, travelers can continue by pre-arranged transfer, chauffeur or rental car to Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville, Genoa, Stateline and the Lake Tahoe area, with nearby US Highway 395 providing regional road connections.
