Milan Linate Airport (LIN)

Milan Linate Airport is the city airport of Milan and one of the two main airports serving the Lombardy region. Located about 8 km east of the city center, it is among Europe's closest airports to a major city and primarily handles domestic, European and UK flights, making it an important gateway for business and leisure travelers.

Opened in the 1930s, the airport underwent a major restyling and reopened in October 2019 with expanded terminal areas, new boarding gates, a shopping arcade and a food court. Arrivals are on the ground floor and departures on the first floor, with check-in, security and boarding organized within one compact terminal.

The airport is connected to central Milan by the M4 metro line, which reaches San Babila in about 12 minutes, as well as by city buses, taxis, private transfers, chauffeur services and rental cars. Road access is available via the A51 ring road and nearby motorway links.
