Mercedes Airport is a small public airport serving Mercedes, a town in Argentina's Corrientes Province and the main gateway to the Iberá Wetlands and Iberá National Park. Built in 1965, the airport was modernised in 2012 with a repaved runway, a new 250-square-metre passenger terminal and upgraded operating infrastructure.
Located about 4 km south of central Mercedes, the airport connects the region to domestic destinations and has been used for charter, official, medical and limited scheduled flights, including services to Buenos Aires. Its role is closely tied to nature tourism in the Esteros del Iberá, one of northeastern Argentina's most important wetland areas.
