About Mana Island Airport
Mana Island Airport is a small island airstrip serving Mana Island, one of the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji's Western Division. It mainly connects the Mana Island Resort area with Nadi and supports light inter-island aircraft, seaplanes and helicopters used by island resorts and tour operators.
The airport has a single short asphalt runway measuring about 330 metres by 30 metres, suitable for small aircraft such as the six-passenger Britten-Norman Islander. Pacific Island Air operates scheduled flights between Nadi and Mana Island, while seaplane and helicopter transfers provide additional access to the island.
Mana Island lies roughly 35 kilometres west of Nadi, and the airport is normally reached by a short flight of about 15 to 20 minutes from Nadi International Airport or Port Denarau. Travellers can also arrive by catamaran, ferry or water taxi from Port Denarau, with boat journeys typically taking between one and a half and two and a half hours.
As a small island airstrip, Mana Island Airport has limited facilities, so most services such as dining, shopping and accommodation are provided by the nearby resort.
