Lolland Falster Airport (MRW)

Lolland Falster Airport is a small civil airfield serving the islands of Lolland and Falster in southern Denmark. Approved for domestic and international traffic, it supports general aviation, business flights, light aircraft and helicopters, and is the only airport of its kind between Roskilde and the north of Hamburg.

Established in 1965 by the former Rødby and Holeby municipalities as a small airfield with a grass runway, the airport later gained a paved runway that was extended to its current length of 1,200 metres by 1984. In 1994 the facility was renamed from Maribo Flyveplads to Lolland Falster Airport.

Located between Holeby and Rødby, roughly 12 km south of Maribo, the airport sits close to the E47 motorway corridor and the Fehmarn Belt link to Germany. Maribo, Nykøbing Falster, Nakskov and Rødbyhavn are within a short drive, while central Copenhagen is about 157 km away.

The compact terminal building houses a passenger lounge, briefing office and meeting facilities, with hangar space, free parking and on-site fuel supplies. Skydiving and gliding clubs are based at the airport, giving visitors a lively local aviation community alongside straightforward access for private and business flights.
