Liège Airport is an international airport serving the city of Liège and the Wallonia region in eastern Belgium. Although it is best known as one of Europe's major cargo hubs, it also operates a modern passenger terminal handling leisure and charter flights to destinations such as the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean.
The current passenger terminal opened in 2005, replacing earlier facilities that date back to the 1930s. Located in Grâce-Hollogne near Bierset, roughly 10 km west of central Liège, the airport is directly accessible from the E42 motorway and serves as a convenient gateway for travellers in Wallonia and nearby parts of the Netherlands, Germany and Luxembourg.
Ground transportation includes TEC bus lines linking the airport with Liège-Guillemins railway station and the city centre, taxis, private transfers and a Flibco shuttle serving Charleroi, Liège and Maastricht. Short- and long-stay parking is available directly in front of the passenger terminal.
