About Antwerp International Airport
Antwerp International Airport is the main airport serving Antwerp and the surrounding Flanders region. The airfield opened in 1923 and has a long aviation history, with the current management structure in place since 2014 when the airport became part of the Egis group. Today it handles scheduled holiday flights, charter flights, private flights and training flights, with TUI fly as the main scheduled carrier.
Located in the Deurne district, the airport is roughly 5 km southeast of central Antwerp. Its single compact passenger terminal is designed for short walking distances and a quick, convenient experience, with check-in, security and boarding close together.
The airport is connected to the city by regular buses 51, 52 and 53, which stop at Deurne Luchthavenlei and reach Antwerp-Berchem railway station in about 10 minutes. Taxis, private transfers and road links via the E17, E19 and E313 motorways provide further onward connections.
