About Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport
Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport is the main international airport serving Tallinn and the wider Baltic region. Originally opened in 1936 as Ülemiste Airport, it was renamed in 2009 in honour of former Estonian president Lennart Meri, and today functions as Estonia's primary aviation gateway.
Located about 4 km southeast of central Tallinn, the airport connects the city with domestic and international destinations and serves both leisure and business travellers. Its compact single-terminal building is organised over three levels and handles arrivals, departures, check-in, security and boarding within one convenient complex.
The airport is connected to Tallinn by tram line 4, city buses, taxis, private transfers and road links, making it quick and straightforward to continue to the city centre, the Old Town and surrounding areas.
With modern passenger facilities including a business lounge, restaurants, cafés, shops, free Wi-Fi and family-friendly spaces, the airport provides a comfortable gateway for visitors arriving in Estonia's capital region.
