Lauro Kurtz Airport is the main airport serving Passo Fundo and the northern Rio Grande do Sul region of Brazil. Named after aviator Lauro Ignacio Kurtz, it has been an important regional gateway for decades and has been managed by Infraero under contract with the state government since 2022.
A new passenger terminal of approximately 2,295 square metres was delivered in April 2022 and entered full operation in January 2023, making it one of the largest regional airport terminals in Rio Grande do Sul. The airport connects Passo Fundo with destinations such as Campinas and São Paulo through Azul, Gol and LATAM services.
Located about 8 km from the city centre along the BR-285 highway, the airport is reached by taxi, private transfers, rental cars and local road links, providing a straightforward connection to Passo Fundo's business and residential areas.
