About L.O. Simenstad Municipal Airport
L.O. Simenstad Municipal Airport is a public-use general aviation airport serving Osceola and western Polk County, Wisconsin. It opened for operations in December 1948 and is owned by the Village of Osceola, which oversees the airport through the Osceola Airport Commission.
The airport is located less than a mile southeast of the Osceola village center, close to the St. Croix River and the Wisconsin–Minnesota border. It supports private, recreational, business and flight-training flying, with a paved primary runway, a turf runway, and no scheduled airline service or control tower.
Osceola Aero operates as the full-service FBO on the field, providing fuel, aircraft parking, hangars, maintenance and a passenger lounge. Pilots have access to 100LL and Jet-A fuel, an AWOS weather station and instrument approach procedures for the paved runway.
For road travel, the airport is minutes from Osceola and within easy reach of St. Croix Falls, Taylors Falls and the wider St. Croix River Valley, with the Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area located to the southwest.
