About Kurnool Airport
Kurnool Airport, officially known as Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy Airport, is the domestic airport serving Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. Located at Orvakal, the greenfield airport opened to scheduled commercial operations in March 2021.
Built by the Andhra Pradesh Airports Development Corporation Limited, the airport has a single integrated passenger terminal, a runway of about 2,000 metres and apron space for several aircraft. It primarily supports domestic connectivity between Kurnool and other cities in the region.
The airport sits along National Highway 40 on the Kurnool–Nandyal road, roughly 18 km from the Kurnool city centre. Travellers can continue into the city and nearby destinations by taxi, private transfer, rental car or local bus.
Although compact, the terminal provides essential passenger services such as baggage handling, an ATM, a lost and found counter, wheelchair assistance, medical facilities and limited dining and shopping options, making it a practical gateway for visitors to the Rayalaseema region.
