Kota Airport is a domestic airport serving Kota and the surrounding Hadoti region of Rajasthan. Built by the royal family of the princely state of Kota and taken over by the government in 1951, the airport is also known as Rajputana Airport and has long served as a compact gateway for the city.
Located about 8 kilometres from Kota's main railway station, the airport operates through a single small terminal with a runway suited to smaller Code-B aircraft. Scheduled commercial operations have been limited in recent years, and the facility is mainly used for general aviation, VIP and medical flights.
The airport sits near Aerodrome Circle on Jhalawar Road, close to the city centre, making road access relatively straightforward. Taxis, private transfers and local road connections allow travelers to continue to Kota city centre, hotels, coaching centres and nearby towns.
