About Kilaguni Airport
Kilaguni Airport (ILU) is a small domestic airstrip located inside Tsavo West National Park in Taita-Taveta County, southeastern Kenya. It serves the settlement of Kilaguni and provides direct air access to safari lodges and camps in one of Kenya's largest protected areas, close to the border with Tanzania.
The airfield sits at roughly 840 metres above sea level and is used primarily for light-aircraft safari flights. Scheduled operators such as Safarilink and AirKenya Express link the airstrip with Nairobi Wilson Airport and other safari destinations, allowing visitors to reach the park without the long road journey.
Kilaguni lies about 230 kilometres southeast of Nairobi, with road access available from Nairobi and Mombasa. Most arrivals continue their journey using pre-arranged lodge vehicles or 4x4 safari transfers, since public transport options at the airstrip are very limited.
Facilities are intentionally basic, with a small open-air terminal shelter, limited seating and a kiosk for simple refreshments. The airport functions as a practical, low-key gateway for visitors exploring Tsavo West National Park.

Terminal Overview

Terminals
Kilaguni Airport has a single, very basic terminal area used for domestic safari flights. The compact shelter handles scheduled and charter services operated mainly by Safarilink and AirKenya Express, and there are no separate international or Schengen facilities.
