Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru is the main international airport serving Bengaluru and the wider Karnataka region. Opened in May 2008, it replaced the former HAL Airport as the city's primary commercial airport and has grown into one of India's busiest aviation gateways.
The airport is located at Devanahalli, around 40 km north of central Bengaluru, and is well connected by road.
