About Kasane International Airport
Kasane International Airport is the main airport serving Kasane and the Chobe District in northern Botswana. It acts as a key gateway for travellers visiting Chobe National Park, the Chobe riverfront lodges and the wider safari circuit, as well as a secondary access point for Victoria Falls and the nearby Kazungula border area.
Opened in 1991, the original terminal was expanded into a modern passenger terminal of about 7,800 square metres that was officially opened in February 2018. The single-terminal facility handles regional and international air traffic linking Kasane with destinations such as Johannesburg, Gaborone, Maun and Victoria Falls.
The airport lies about 4 kilometres south of Kasane town centre along the A33 road. Lodge pickups, taxis, private transfers and rental cars connect the terminal with Kasane, Chobe lodges and cross-border routes, making onward travel straightforward for safari and leisure visitors.
With its compact terminal, VIP lounge, car rental desks and basic passenger amenities, the airport provides a convenient arrival point for visitors heading into Chobe National Park or continuing to Victoria Falls, Livingstone and other nearby destinations.
