Kantchari Airport is a small public-use airfield serving Kantchari, a town in the Tapoa area of eastern Burkina Faso near the border with Niger. It sits close to the main Ouagadougou–Niamey road and provides a local aviation point for light aircraft, private and charter movements.
The airport has a single unpaved runway approximately 900 metres long, set at an elevation of about 268 metres. Its facilities are basic, and operations are generally more limited than at Burkina Faso's larger airports.
The airfield lies about 2 km southwest of central Kantchari, so the town can be reached in a few minutes by road. Regional centres such as Fada N'Gourma and the Niger border crossing are accessible along the main road corridor, while the capital, Ouagadougou, is roughly 300 km to the west.
