About José Cleto Airport
José Cleto Airport is a small municipal airport serving União da Vitória, in southern Paraná, and the nearby Santa Catarina city of Porto União. It is named after José Cleto, a local entrepreneur, politician and film producer.
The airport lies about 1 km east of central União da Vitória and has a single asphalt runway. It primarily supports general aviation and corporate flights, and has been used for regional scheduled connections between União da Vitória and Curitiba at different periods.
Because the airfield is small and close to the centre, onward travel is simple: taxis, private transfers and rental cars can cover the short distance to hotels and business addresses in a few minutes. Ground transport options are generally arranged in advance.
For travelers, the airport functions as a convenient access point to the Iguaçu River valley and the Paraná–Santa Catarina border region, with essential passenger facilities on site and fuller services available in the city.
