Jindal Vijaynagar Airport is the main air gateway for Bellary (Ballari), Hospet and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi in Karnataka, India. Opened in 1997 as a private airstrip for Jindal Vijayanagar Steel Limited (now JSW Steel), it was later upgraded for commercial operations and commercial flights began in 2006 with Air Deccan.
Located in Toranagallu, between Vidyanagar Township and the JSW Steel complex, the airport is now managed by the Airports Authority of India and supports scheduled and charter flights under regional connectivity programmes. Its single passenger terminal and 13/31 runway serve the industrial corridor and the growing tourism traffic to the Hampi region.
The airport lies around 30–40 km from Bellary and Hospet, with taxis, pre-booked cars and shuttle buses connecting passengers to Bellary, Hospet, Hampi and Sandur. Hospet Junction provides the nearest major rail connection for onward travel.
