Jacksonville Municipal Airport is a public general aviation airport serving Jacksonville, Morgan County, and the surrounding west-central Illinois region. Opened in July 1950, it is located about 3 miles north of downtown Jacksonville and roughly 30 miles west of Springfield.
The airport primarily supports general aviation activity, including business and corporate flights, flight training, recreational flying, medical transport, law enforcement operations, and other regional aviation needs. It has two asphalt runways: Runway 13/31 at 5,000 feet and Runway 4/22 at 4,001 feet, and it operates without a control tower.
Passengers and pilots use a single terminal building with a passenger lounge and pilot services. The airport offers aviation fuel, aircraft rental, flight training, hangars, and tiedown parking, and was recognized as the 2024 Large General Aviation Airport of the Year in Illinois.
