A new integrated terminal building was inaugurated in 2024, covering about 115,180 square feet and designed to handle up to 800 passengers during peak hours. The airport also saw its runway extended to 2,750 metres, allowing it to accommodate larger narrow-body aircraft such as the Airbus A320.
From Jabalpur, travellers can reach destinations including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Indore, with flights operated by domestic carriers. The airport's location also makes it a practical starting point for visitors heading to attractions such as the Marble Rocks at Bhedaghat, Kanha National Park and Bandhavgarh National Park.
