About Harry Reid International Airport

Harry Reid International Airport is the main commercial airport serving Las Vegas and the surrounding Clark County region of southern Nevada. Originally opened as Alamo Field in the 1940s and known for decades as McCarran International Airport, it was renamed in December 2021 to honor former U.S. Senator Harry Reid.

Located just east of the Las Vegas Strip and roughly five miles south of downtown, the airport is among the most conveniently situated major airports in the United States. It handles a high volume of domestic flights alongside international services, connecting travelers to destinations across North America, Europe, Asia and beyond.

The airport operates two passenger terminals. Terminal 1 serves most domestic carriers, while Terminal 3 handles international flights and some domestic operations; automated trams link the terminals to the D Concourse and help passengers move between gate areas.

Road access, taxis, rideshare services, public buses, shuttles, rental cars and private transfers make onward travel straightforward. With a wide range of dining, shopping, lounges and passenger services, the airport serves as a busy gateway for leisure and business visitors arriving in Las Vegas.
