Harry P. Williams Memorial Airport (PTN)

Harry P. Williams Memorial Airport is a public general aviation airport located about two miles northwest of Patterson, Louisiana, in St. Mary Parish. Opened in 1940, it also serves the nearby community of Morgan City and sits along the U.S. Highway 90 corridor, giving private, corporate, charter, helicopter and seaplane traffic convenient access to Louisiana's Gulf Coast.

The airport's aviation heritage dates to the Wedell-Williams era of the 1930s, and it continues to support general aviation, flight training, maintenance, air charter and offshore energy operations. It features a lighted asphalt runway alongside a separate water runway, making it a distinctive dual land-and-sea aviation facility, with helicopter staging and fuel services available for Gulf of Mexico crews.

Only a short drive from downtown Patterson and roughly ten miles from Morgan City, the airport is easy to reach by road and provides straightforward onward connections across St. Mary Parish and southern Louisiana. On-site services are centred around the Perry Flying Center fixed-base operation, which offers fuel, hangars, maintenance, a pilot lounge and ground transportation assistance.

While PTN has no scheduled commercial airline service, it functions as an important regional gateway for private and business aviation, emergency response and offshore industry support, with customs landing rights available for international flights.
