About Guelmim Airport
Guelmim Airport is the main air gateway serving Guelmim and the wider Guelmim-Oued Noun region in southern Morocco. The airport connects the area with Casablanca and international destinations in the Canary Islands, supporting regional travel, trade and tourism.
The current passenger terminal was inaugurated in January 2019, covering 7,000 square metres with a capacity of around 700,000 passengers per year. The airport has a single 3,040-metre runway and facilities that include eight check-in counters, baggage handling systems and security controls.
Located approximately 8 km northwest of Guelmim city centre, the airport is reached mainly by taxi, private transfer or car. The short road link makes onward travel into the city and surrounding areas straightforward.
The airport functions as a practical regional gateway for visitors travelling to the desert landscapes, oases and Atlantic coastal towns of southern Morocco.
