Fitiuta Airport (FTI)

Fitiuta Airport is a small public airport serving the island of Ta'ū in the Manu'a Islands group of American Samoa. Opened in 1990, it is operated and maintained by the American Samoa Government's Department of Port Administration and serves the aviation needs of Ta'ū and surrounding communities.

Located in the village of Fitiuta on Ta'ū's northeastern coast, the airport primarily handles inter-island flights connecting the island with Pago Pago on Tutuila. Samoa Airways operates the main scheduled service, providing a vital air link for residents and visitors travelling between the Manu'a Islands and the rest of American Samoa.

The compact terminal offers a basic waiting area, check-in counter, and restroom facilities, with a relaxed small-island atmosphere and limited commercial amenities. The single runway and modest infrastructure are designed for short-haul inter-island aircraft operations.

Because Fitiuta Airport sits on a separate island from Pago Pago, onward travel within American Samoa typically involves a short inter-island flight or, for travel around Ta'ū itself, local road connections. Visitors can also reach Ta'ū by ferry from other islands, making the airport a key entry point for exploring the Manu'a Islands and the National Park of American Samoa.
