Fallon Municipal Airport is a public-use general aviation airport owned and operated by the City of Fallon, serving Fallon and the surrounding Churchill County area in western Nevada. The field supports private, business, agricultural and military-related flights across the Lahontan Valley.
Opened in August 1952, the airport sits about 2 miles (3 km) northeast of downtown Fallon at an elevation of 3,966 feet. It has two runways: a 5,703-foot asphalt primary runway (3/21) and a 3,580-foot dirt crosswind runway (13/31).
As a general aviation facility, FLX does not offer scheduled airline passenger service. Its terminal building and fixed-base operator, Fallon Airmotive, provide self-serve Jet A and 100LL fueling, aircraft parking, hangar space, flight instruction and aircraft maintenance, along with vehicle parking for pilots and visitors.
The airport serves a city located along U.S. Route 50 and roughly 60 miles east of Reno, making private vehicles, rental cars, taxis and pre-arranged transfers the main ways to continue into town. Passenger amenities include public restrooms, a pilot lounge and a conference room, supporting a straightforward and practical gateway for general aviation travelers.
