El Bolsón Airport is a small domestic airfield serving the town of El Bolsón and the Comarca Andina area of Río Negro in Argentina's northern Patagonia. Located about 2 km north of the town centre, it provides a local gateway for seasonal regional flights and a base for general aviation, firefighting support, medical transfers, search and rescue, pilot training and scenic flights.
The airport operates a single asphalt runway (18/36) of about 1,300 metres and sits at an elevation of roughly 345 metres, close to the Andes and the foothills of Cerro Piltriquitrón. During the summer season it has historically received LADE flights from Comodoro Rivadavia, and the field is used by the local aeroclub for recreational flying and flight training.
For scheduled commercial connections, travellers generally use San Carlos de Bariloche Airport, roughly 120 km to the south, with road access along National Route 40. From El Bolsón Airport, the town is a short taxi or private transfer ride away, and Lago Puelo and other nearby Patagonian destinations are also within easy reach.
