Eagle River Union Airport is a publicly owned general aviation airport serving Eagle River and Vilas County in Wisconsin's Northwoods. Opened in 1938, it functions as a local gateway for private aviation, business flights and visitors travelling to the Eagle River/Three Lakes Chain of Lakes.
Located just northwest of downtown Eagle River, the airport covers about 588 acres and has two asphalt runways: the primary runway 4/22 is 5,000 by 76 feet, and the crosswind runway 13/31 is 3,400 by 60 feet. There is no control tower, and pilots use the CTAF/UNICOM frequency when approaching and departing.
The airport is reached by road from Eagle River and nearby communities, and provides fuel, hangars, aircraft services and a terminal building with pilot and passenger facilities. It supports recreational flying, charter and general aviation access to northern Wisconsin's lakes and resorts.
