Deoghar Airport is a domestic airport serving Deoghar and the surrounding region of Jharkhand, India. Inaugurated in July 2022, it gives pilgrims and other travellers direct air access to Baidyanath Dham, one of the most important pilgrimage centres in the state.
Located approximately 12 km from the city centre, the airport has a single integrated terminal building of about 4,000 square metres with six check-in counters and two baggage belts. Its 2,500-metre runway can accommodate aircraft such as the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737, and scheduled domestic flights connect Deoghar with destinations including Kolkata.
Travellers can continue from the airport by taxi, auto-rickshaw, hired car or pre-arranged private transfer to Deoghar town, Baidyanath Temple and nearby areas such as Tapovan and Basukinath.
