About Cuneo International Airport
Cuneo International Airport is a small regional airport serving the city of Cuneo and the wider Piedmont region, including the metropolitan area of Turin. Located in Levaldigi, near Savigliano, it functions as a convenient gateway for travelers heading to southern Piedmont, the Langhe and Roero hills, and the nearby Alpine valleys.
The airport's origins date back to 1929, when the site began operating as an emergency airfield. After being reactivated as a civil airport in 1962 and opened to domestic commercial traffic in 1986 and international traffic in 1990, the airport was expanded and a new passenger terminal was inaugurated in 2004.
The airport lies roughly 20 km northeast of central Cuneo and around 70 km south of Turin. It is reached by road via the A6 Torino–Savona motorway, with exits at Marene and Fossano, and is served by shuttle buses connecting with Turin, Fossano and Savigliano railway stations, as well as taxis and car rental.
Despite its compact size, the single-terminal airport provides essential passenger facilities including a bar-restaurant, café, shop, free Wi-Fi and parking, making it an easy-to-navigate departure and arrival point for low-cost and regional flights.
