About Creech Air Force Base
Creech Air Force Base is a United States Air Force installation in Clark County, Nevada, near the community of Indian Springs. It is widely known as a center for remotely piloted aircraft operations and serves as the home of the 432nd Wing and 432nd Air Expeditionary Wing.
The installation traces its origins to the Indian Springs Air Force Auxiliary Field, which supported air-to-air gunnery training during World War II. It was redesignated Creech Air Force Base in 2005 in honor of General Wilbur L. Creech and became a fully independent installation in July 2019 after separating from Nellis Air Force Base.
Located about 35 miles (56 km) northwest of Las Vegas, Creech sits near U.S. Route 95 and the town of Indian Springs. Road access links the base with Las Vegas and the wider southern Nevada region, with private transfers, chauffeur services and rental cars available for authorized travel.
As a military airfield, Creech does not offer commercial passenger flights or public terminals. It supports around-the-clock remotely piloted aircraft and military missions, with on-base facilities for assigned personnel, while commercial air travel to the area is typically handled through Las Vegas-area airports.
