About Corisco International Airport
Corisco International Airport is the main air gateway to Corisco Island, a small island in Equatorial Guinea's Litoral Province near the border with Gabon. Opened in 2011, the airport was developed to connect the island with the rest of Equatorial Guinea and to support the growth of regional and charter travel.
The airport has a single concrete runway measuring 3,115 metres and a single passenger terminal, along with a control tower, technical facilities and parking. It handles domestic, regional and charter flights, and sits about 29 km southwest of the Río Muni estuary.
Located close to Gobe, the island's main settlement, the airport is only a short drive from the centre of the island. The mainland city of Bata lies roughly 120 km to the north, while Libreville in Gabon is about 48 km to the south; the island is also reachable by boat from the mainland.
With basic passenger facilities and a compact layout, the airport offers a straightforward arrival experience for visitors heading to Corisco Island's beaches and coastal areas, with onward travel by car, taxi or private transfer.
