About Bata International Airport
Bata International Airport is the main airport serving Bata, the largest city on mainland Equatorial Guinea, and the wider Litoral region. A new passenger terminal was inaugurated in October 2024, giving the continental part of the country a modern gateway for domestic and international flights.
The terminal is arranged over four levels and has separate domestic and international departure and arrival zones. It includes five boarding bridges, seven departure gates, around 30 check-in desks and six baggage reclaim belts, and is designed to handle modern wide-body aircraft.
The airport lies around 6–7 km north-east of central Bata and is reached by road. Taxis, buses and private transfers connect the terminal with the city centre, hotels and nearby areas.
Passenger facilities include dining and retail areas, VIP lounges, a children's area, information desks and parking, making the airport a practical entry point for travelers visiting mainland Equatorial Guinea.
