Copenhagen Airport, Roskilde (RKE)

Copenhagen Airport, Roskilde is a general and business aviation airport serving the Copenhagen region and the island of Zealand. Opened in 1973 as the first of three planned relief airports for the Danish capital, it now functions as a dedicated alternative to Copenhagen Airport for private aircraft, helicopters, flight schools, business aviation, VIP travel and the military, and it is also home to Denmark's search and rescue services.

Located about 40 km west of central Copenhagen and roughly 7 km southeast of Roskilde, the airport provides quick access to both the capital and the historic city of Roskilde. It handles domestic and international movements, with customs and immigration facilities available, and is open for operations around the clock with no slot or night restrictions.

The airport operates through a single terminal building with direct apron access, designed for fast check-in and short transfer times. Passenger facilities include a VIP lounge, crew lounge, an 18-seat conference room, complimentary Wi-Fi, the Klai's Kitchen café and free parking close to the terminal.

With around 60,000 take-offs and landings each year, Roskilde Airport is Denmark's second-largest airport by annual activity. Ground transport includes taxis, local bus connections to Roskilde, car rental and private transfers, making it a practical gateway for business and leisure travel in the Copenhagen region.
