About Cochin International Airport
Cochin International Airport is the main international airport serving Kochi and the wider state of Kerala. It began operations in 1999 and is India's first airport developed under a public-private partnership; in 2015 it became the world's first fully solar-powered airport.
Located in Nedumbassery, approximately 28 km northeast of central Kochi, the airport connects the region to domestic and international destinations and serves both leisure and business travelers. Passenger services run through Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 3 for international flights, with Terminal 2 operating as a business jet terminal.
