About Clintonville Municipal Airport
Clintonville Municipal Airport is a city-owned, public-use general aviation airport in Waupaca County, northeastern Wisconsin. It opened in 1940 and is historically significant as the birthplace of Wisconsin Central Airlines, which later became North Central Airlines; scheduled passenger flights operated from Clintonville between 1948 and 1966.
Today the airport serves private, business, and recreational aviation and covers about 533 acres roughly one mile southeast of downtown Clintonville. It has three runways: the primary asphalt runway 14/32, the asphalt crosswind runway 4/22, and a turf runway 9/27.
The terminal building houses a pilot lounge with restrooms and showers, a flight planning area, and airport management. The airport offers 24-hour self-service fuel, hangars, and tiedowns, and a courtesy car is typically available for pilots visiting local restaurants and lodging.
