Charata Airport (CNT)

Charata Airport is a small public aerodrome serving Charata, the main city of southwest Chaco Province and head town of the Chacabuco Department. The airport supports general aviation, agricultural flying and the local Aeroclub de Charata, which provides recreational flights and pilot training.

Located about 2 km west of central Charata, the aerodrome sits in a flat agricultural region known for soybean and cotton production. It serves light aircraft and private flights rather than scheduled commercial services, linking the town to the wider regional aviation network.

Ground access is primarily by road, with taxis and private transfers providing the shortest connection between the aerodrome and Charata town centre. From Charata, regional routes continue toward nearby towns such as General Pinedo and Las Breñas, and provincial road links run toward Resistencia, about 280 km to the east.

Despite its modest size, the aerodrome plays a practical role in local travel, aerial work and aviation training for the southwest Chaco. Its small terminal building, apron and gravel runways keep operations straightforward, while the town's hotels, restaurants and services remain only minutes away.
