Captain João Busse Airport is the main air gateway for Apucarana, a city in northern Paraná, and is named after Captain João Alexandre Busse, the first aviator born in the state. Opened in 1982, the public airport is operated by the Municipality of Apucarana under the supervision of Aeroportos do Paraná.
Located about 9 km southeast of central Apucarana along the PR-532 highway, the airport has a single passenger terminal and an asphalt runway used for domestic regional flights. Scheduled services connect Apucarana with Curitiba, where travellers can reach onward destinations across Brazil.
