Palmas–Brigadeiro Lysias Rodrigues International Airport is the main airport serving Palmas and the state of Tocantins in central Brazil. Opened on 5 October 2001, the airport was named after Brigadier Lysias Augusto Rodrigues, an aviation pioneer connected to the founding of the Brazilian Air Force.
Located about 20 km south of downtown Palmas, PMW connects the state capital with domestic destinations and serves as a practical entry point for travelers heading to regional attractions such as Jalapão and the waterfalls of Taquaruçu.
The airport has a single passenger terminal with check-in, security, arrivals and departure areas, along with cafés, a restaurant, shops, free Wi-Fi and car rental desks. Since 2022, it has been operated by CCR Aeroportos following the federal airport concession program.
