About Borba Airport
Borba Airport is a small regional airport serving Borba, a municipality on the Madeira River in the interior of the Brazilian state of Amazonas. It provides an essential air link for a town that is otherwise reached mainly by river transport, connecting passengers with Manaus and the wider Brazilian air network.
The airport is located approximately 2 km from the centre of Borba and operates through a compact passenger terminal with a single asphalt runway. Scheduled regional flights link Borba with Eduardo Gomes International Airport in Manaus, roughly 160 km away by air.
Because road access in the region is limited, air and river travel are central to local transport. Arriving passengers can continue into Borba town by taxi, private transfer or other local options, while longer regional journeys typically connect through Manaus.
As a small regional airport, Borba offers simple facilities and short walking distances. It is most useful for travellers visiting Borba and nearby Madeira River communities, or connecting onward through Manaus.
