About Billund Airport
Billund Airport is West Denmark's international airport and Denmark's second-largest airport, serving the town of Billund and the wider Jutland region. It opened in 1964 and has grown from a small airfield into a modern gateway for both leisure and business travel.
Located about 4 km northeast of Billund town centre, the airport is closely associated with LEGO: it sits near LEGOLAND Billund Resort and LEGO House, and its single passenger terminal covers roughly 40,000 m² with capacity for around four million passengers a year.
The terminal handles domestic, European and long-haul flights from one compact building, with check-in, security and gates arranged over three levels. Arrivals, baggage claim and car rental are concentrated on the ground level, making it easy to continue to local hotels and attractions.
