About Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport
Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport is the main international airport serving Belgrade and the wider region of Serbia. Opened in 1962 and renamed in honour of the inventor Nikola Tesla, it has grown into the country's primary hub for domestic and international air travel.
Located about 18 km west of central Belgrade in Surčin, the airport connects the capital with destinations across Europe and beyond. Its two connected passenger terminals handle arrivals, departures and airline operations, with Terminal 2 serving as the main international building.
The airport is linked to Belgrade by public buses, the A1 airport shuttle, taxis, private transfers and road connections, making it relatively easy to reach the city centre and surrounding areas.
Following modernization under VINCI Airports, the airport offers expanded passenger facilities, dining, shopping, lounges and onward travel options, acting as a key gateway for visitors to Serbia.
