Basco Airport is the main airport serving Batanes, the northernmost province of the Philippines, and is located in the provincial capital of Basco on Batan Island. It is one of two airports in the Batanes Islands and functions as the primary gateway for domestic flights connecting the province with Manila and other destinations.
First built in 1930 as Batan Airfield, the airport has long played a central role in access to the islands. It is classified as a Class 2 principal minor domestic airport by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines and operates from a single passenger terminal with a runway of about 1,164 meters.
